Yea, I'm Definitely Going to Cry

.... and it's not Micah's fault this time.

It looks like the admin over at Holy Culture Radio pressed the wrong button and lost ALL THE THREADS on the forum. So, all the apologetical work that I did there is.....well.....gone.

*goes to lay in the corner, in the fetal position, and suck his thumb

Moral of the story: save your work!!

I was in the middle of my response to the article from CARM on baptism. Since my response was initially on that forum, it's gone now. I don't know if I am going to move on to something else, or write a fresh apologetic. Right now I need to just lick my wounds. Encouragement welcome.

Pax Christi,

Maybe God is trying to teach patience or something... or maybe I'm just saying that because that's what Christians say when something like that happens :)

I went to last week's Men in Black meeting at the Cathedral. Ended up missing "Lost," but it was worth it. I plan on going to the dinner with the archbishop next month.

Ew. All of the descriptions were a little much there buddy. Is there any chance that you can find some of your stuff on archive pages? I know you've lost most everything, but if you could salvage SOMETHING... well, it'd be a start. And then you could stop licking wounds. *pinch face* Ick.

Ease up Laura. he's in shock.

As I've done contract computer work, and lost data (software source code) that I had been working on, and had poured many hours of my life into, only to see it vanish into the bit bucket, I have been there and cried many times.

In fact, I wrote a big long treatise on the importance of the Rosary, on this here bloggy, and my Web Browser ate it, just a week or two back, and His Phatness was saying he had Been There, Done That.

I've lost hard drives. I've forgotten logins to email accounts. All manner of digital destruction, mayhem, and lossage. I would be devastated if Google Mail were to have a massive hard drive crash. My life is on there. :-)

Someone hacked my own web-site, where I had posted four parts of an eventual six part conversion story (from Brethren to Anglican 'small-c catholic', to Roman Catholic) and I almost lost that.

And, some anti-Catholic hackers are at work over at Catholic Answers (www.catholic.com) defacing the forums over there.

It's sad that this forum admin at HCR has zapped all that stuff, and even worse that there were no backups! Dear me!

Maybe we need to start a Mobile Catholic Nerds Corps to provide some IT mojo where it's lacking in the Catholic blogosphere.

Don't worry. I've been there and done that, too. A lot, in fact. And recently.

Nick knows I'm playin' with him. He's my buddy.
