Greetings! (James 1:1)
I figured I would lay out a basic summary of what you can expect from this blog before I begin.
First of all, this blog is going to be primarily devoted to Catholic apologetics. I've done a lot of work online defending the Catholic Church (and helping others to do the same). I've also written some pretty good papers as a grad theology student at Franciscan University of Steubenville. I thought it would be helpful to have all of this work in one location, instead of spread across different web forums. I may also post some articles that I feel are interesting and that express a particular message that is important to me. I'm addicted to links, so I'm sure I'll share plenty of those as well, as I come across a cool Catholic website. Also, if any of my words happen to be the subject of an article from New Advent, or from the Catholic Defense Directory, I'm going to link to it. I want this blog to be as informative as possible, and that's one way to do it. Finally, I'll probably post some random things about my life, what I've been up to, what's on my mind, how anxious I happen to feel at any particular moment, or some cheesy picture of me with my girlfriend (or of just my girlfriend, since those pics are much prettier).
My screenname is "phatcatholic" because of my affiliation w/ Phatmass, a Catholic website for young adults. "phat" is an acronym that stands for Preaching Holy Apostolic Truth. I'm always posting at other websites too, so if you ever catch a "phatcatholic" anywhere, that's me.
Pax Christi (that's how I always close my posts),
