The Presence Is Real

Ceck out this new video from American Life League. It makes the interesting argument that protecting the unborn flows naturally from the Catholic faith which believes without seeing and is yet, at the same time, grounded in reason:

What do you think? Leave a comment and let me know.

Nick, that's definitely a well-produced and direct video. I think the quotation marks around "Catholic" as used in the video are a little snide; it could have been expressed differently. I also think Bishop Vasa (the third quote) has the best point. On Earth, we can only do so much. It is in heaven that we will all have to answer for our sins, including these politicians' support of abortion legislation. (And Pelosi is just wrong. An embyonic anything is alive. The point is whether it's alive enough to be protected by law.)

Very Nice Nick. I just found your site while researching for an article I am writing. I invite you to check out my site as well

In my local diocese, Archdiocese of Indianapolis, I volunteer as a facilitator for Rachel Vineyard workshops. If you are not familiar with these workshops go to the website. It's an amazing retreat for women who suffer the guilt & shame of abortion. Many well meaning Catholics do not believe that those of us that have had abortion should be forgiven. So, I have become the voice out there for the "forgotten woman" who hides in shame. My message is to help women heal from abortion, and to get the message out there that not only does abortion destroy the life of the child, it also destroys the life of the mother.

Abortion is only one topic I tackle on my website. However, my passion is helping women restore their connection to God. In doing so, they find themselves, their true self that God designed them to be! Thus Finding You!

I love your website...God Bless you and your work.

Hey Nick,
My name is Dustin! I have a blog that I think you should check out as well:
I'm a former Catholic and the majority of my family right now are Catholics. I have two great aunts that are nuns, and an aunt that is a nun. My testimony is on the bottom of my blog. I would love to have some discussions with you.
I have a heart for the Catholic people...but a disdain for the Catholic doctrine outside of scripture. God bless you!

Are you still interested in having that discussion? I responded on my blog: "I think I know what your answer is going to be regarding salvation as you are Catholic, but I want you to tell me: "how does one get into heaven?" We can start from there." (I have to say...that I cannot take any authority except that of scripture. Canons, church fathers, tradition are not authoritative truth for me.) Thank you
